The site software along with the content has been migrated from Joomla to Dokuwiki. The layout along with the content is very similar to the original site, most links are properly redirected (incl. rss feeds). You may notice that the Wiki content has been reduced to a minimum. We'll use the opportunity to filter out out-dated information.
Besides some general refactoring and cleanup, the following interesting changes have taken place in the code base. Note, that the property2 code is still in flux - but scheduled for inclusion in release 0.9.
Features
Bugfixes
In order to minimize maintenance and editing overhead as well as allow more participation the site will be migrated to a different software. This affects the main website and the wiki. The forum, bug tracker and other services are not affected.
Testing of the migrated website is in progress. At the moment, no major issues are known. The transition will therefore happen within the next two weeks.
Existing URLs to pages will mostly be redirected to matching new ones, so links stay valid.
Existing RSS feed URLs will also be redirected. This may or may not be a problem for some RSS readers. If you've subscribed please check the RSS feed settings after the site transition.
I don't expect any major issues. Nevertheless, if you encounter any after the switch please send an E-mail to: psyclonist [at] yake [dot] org.
Update (08/Apr/2010) The switch has been thrown. All services are up & running smoothly.
The new release is available.
You can find details on how to download the sources and the pre-built dependencies packages on the downloads page.
It seems, we solved the recent spam issues (and also the problems with the code that should take care of the spam issues). Please report any problems if some do crop up.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Pre-Release Dependencies Packages
Again, the dependencies packages have been updated. The major difference is the upgrade to use the latest stable release of Luabind (0.8).
Until the final release, the packages are only available in this news entry.
The release will be out as soon as the remaining Linux related issues are fixed.
