Multilicensing
Yake is open-source and licensed under the LGPL as well as custom licenses. This is possible due to the consequent use of the JCA (Joint Copyright Agreement) for contributions.

Commercial Usage and the LGPL
When using the LGPL'd Yake you're free to use it in commercial and non-commercial software as long as you adhere to the terms of the LGPL.

Other licenses
If you don't want to be bound by the terms of the LGPL you can acquire a custom license. The terms can be negotiated. Various models are possible.
